ABOUT THE ARTIST - SUSAN SEITZ
I am an artist, a creativity coach and an intuitive teacher. With over a decade of experience as an artist and facilitator of playful and healing art workshops for individuals of all ages, I truly believe in the power of creativity to bring more joy, healing and fun to all of our lives.
Being in nature fills my soul. I am constantly inspired by mother earth – the source of all creation, who shares her inner secrets and desires through a connected space. Tapping into this remarkable energy is available to us all. My heart fills with gratitude as my paint brush unfolds and reveals a glimpse of the beauty that hides within.
I do art to heal. I want to share that with the world and teach others how to find their muse in nature and bring creativity into existence to allow a safe space to heal. When words aren’t there, expressive arts can help.
Contest Details: How to Participate
· Step 1: Visit Elizabeth’s Art Gallery via the back entrance. The mural is easy to spot from the Montreal Street Parking Lot
· Step 2: Take a close look at the mural and try to identify as many of the native plant species as you can.
· Step 3: Go to our website or scan the QR code posted at the gallery entrance to access the contest ballot or fill one in person at the gallery.
· Step 4: Fill in your guesses—each correct answer earns you an extra entry! The more plants you correctly identify, the greater your odds of winning.
· BONUS ENTRY: Post a picture of yourself with the mural and share online tagging Elizabeth’s Art Gallery on Instagram and Facebook. #nativeplantmuralgoderich
Eligibility
· The contest is open to everyone, but you will need to come into the Elizabeth's Art Gallery or Goderich Co-op Gallery to pick up your prize.
· ALL AGES can enter the colouring page challenge to be drawn in 3 age categories (0-6, 7-14, Adult) Entries will be on display in our newly renovated Gallery Studio on the lower level. Pick one up in store or download a printable PDF here by clicking on the image below.
Judging & Winner Selection
· Entries will be reviewed after the contest closes. Each correct plant identification equals one entry in the main prize draw.
· The children’s art prize will be drawn from all completed colouring pages submitted. The completed entries will be placed on display in our newly renovated rental space at the rear of the gallery in the lower level by the Co-Op gallery giving your child a chance to be an exhibiting artist at the gallery for the duration of the contest.
Prizes
· Grand Prize: $500 gift certificate for custom framing at Elizabeth’s Art Gallery.
· Special Prizes: 3 separate prizes worth a total of $500 to be won throughout the contest courtesy of the Goderich Co-op Gallery.
· Children’s Prize: Art supply sets, drawn from among completed colouring page entries for 3 separate age categories.
How to Find Out if You Won
· Winners will be notified by email as provided in their contest entry form on October 31st, 2025. Contest closes at midnight October 26, 2025
