Pastel Premier Conservation Board features 100% cotton, archival quality sanded pastel paper that is double-primed and coated with an aluminum oxide to produce an idea surface for pastel painting. The base paper is heavy 145 lb. (300 gsm), withstands any measure of scrubbing and re-working, and accepts as many as 25 layers of pastel. This paper works well with oil and acrylic paints as well as colored pencils and other dry media. Pastel Premier paper is mounted on a 4-ply conservation board with a white backing which is acid-free, buffered and neutral pH. No more taping or mounting pastel paper - the mounted boards are designed for easy use, storage and transport.
